A fifth generation Texan, Jane Wells earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Studio Art from the University of Texas at Austin, where she studied under Charles Field. She has sold her work through galleries in San Antonio and Austin.

Recently, Jane was commissioned to create a collection of fifteen architectural landscapes to be displayed in the guest rooms of the Louise, a luxury hotel in the wine country of the Barossa Valley in South Australia.

Jane lives in Austin with her husband. They have three children and three grandchildren. She teaches art in elementary schools where she inspires young children to see themselves as artists.
